THE STORIES THAT MAKE US.
I haven’t always lived here – I was born and raised in North Jersey. I graduated high school at the height of the Great Recession, and came to Poughkeepsie for the first time to attend Marist College a decade ago. I fell in love with the City of Poughkeepsie and the Hudson Valley, and decided to make it my home. I found a full-time job and an apartment, and in 2011 I moved here and haven’t left since. I’ve lived all around the City of Poughkeepsie in different neighborhoods, but most recently I moved to the 40 Cannon building with my wife, Danielle.
After earning my B.A. in Political Science in 2013, I worked in the Marist College administration as a Desktop Administrator and then as the Client Technologies Specialist over the next four years, while going to school at night and achieving my Master in Public Administration degree from the Marist College School of Management.
After earning my MPA, I completed the prestigious year-long Regional Fellowship program at Pattern for Progress called the “Pattern Fellows”, and in 2017 I was subsequently offered a position as a Research Planner at the nonprofit policy, planning, and advocacy agency.
At Pattern for Progress, I research demographic trends in the Hudson Valley and examine issues such as housing, infrastructure, education, technology, and economic development. I also administer the Pattern Fellows program and work with a team of Young Professionals throughout the Hudson Valley to lead Pattern’s newest effort, the Center for Young Professionals and Workforce Development.
In 2019, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce recognized me as one of the Hudson Valley’s “Top 40 Under 40 Movers and Shakers” for my efforts effecting change in the Hudson Valley.
